Located in Rutland, Lyddington one of the East Midlands best kept secrets, this beautiful village is situated in the Welland Valley.

The windy road down to the village captures perfectly the majestic views of local farms and stunning countryside. Striking yellow fields paint only part of the picture, with the valley peeling away to reveal rustic thatched cottages and a stone built village church.

Rutland Water

Rutland Water is home to over 20,000 waterfowl and is internationally renowned for its importance as one of Great Britain’s wildfowl sanctuaries. The reservoir was built in the 1970’s and has since attracted fishermen, water sports enthusiasts and families to soak up its surroundings and take in the fresh air. Rutland Water is home to variety of events and fairs throughout the summer months, including the first international British Bird Watching Fair attracting twitters nationally and internationally to observe some rarely seen birds. The 26 miles of cycle paths meandering around Rutland Water are busy and well trodden in the summer months attracting cyclists, walkers and runners alike.

Rockingham Speedway

Located just four miles away from the Marquess of Exeter, Rockingham hosts spectacular events to create the perfect weekend away. From the British F3/GT Championships to race days on Europe’ s fastest racing circuit, motor sports fans will be in their element. With events attracting people internationally there is sure to be a spectacle to witness.

Rockingham Castle

The remarkable Rockingham Castle was built over 900 years ago on the instruction of William the Conqueror. Experience part of Rockinghams’ rich cultural and historic heritage and enjoy a family picnic on the castle grounds under the English summer sun. Burghley House

This enchanting Elizabethan house is located in the centre of Stamford, Lincolnshire. It is one of Britain’s oldest and grandest houses.
